Introducing Spiecapag’s Chat Laps
Chat laps are short 20 to 30 min walking meetings designed to incorporate wellness into our workday. It is simple! Instead of gathering in a meeting room, staff members invite their colleague(s) to join them for an informal walking meeting nearby the office.
They are many benefits of taking a Chat Lap? It enhances physical health & fitness, reduces stress and improves mood, revigorates and improves concentration, boosts creativity and productivity, and fosters team bonding and collaboration!
Studies show that a 20-minute walk significantly increase brain activity in the attention and information processing centre, resulting in better concentration, creativity and productivity!
Beside, regular business meetings, a Chat Lap is also a great opportunity to get to know new team members while enhancing staff fitness and mental capacity.
We are very lucky in Brisbane. We have beautiful weather most of the year, as well as safe and scenic paths nearby the office.
We propose 2 itineraries – the Story Bridge Lap and the Botanical Garden Lap, which take respectively 20 and 30 minutes (round trip), but staff are free to choose another route if they have a preferred one. They can also combine their Chat Lap with their lunch break, but Chat Lap can be taken at any time during the day. Just don’t forget to wear confortable shoes, dress appropriately for the weather and bring water!
