John Rutherford is the 2023 Jeff Pace Young Person of the Year!

John Rutherford, Deputy Project Manager on the Jansz-Io Project, is the winner of the 2023 Jeff Pace Young Person of the Year Award announced last night at the Australasian Society for Trenchless Technology (ASTT) Gala Dinner! The Spiecapag Australia and HDI Lucas’ Teams couldn’t be prouder.

Since graduating from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical & Materials Engineering) in 2018, John has progressed from Project Engineer to Project Manager on many of the most complex and challenging trenchless projects delivered in the region. This includes the installation of multiple outfall pipelines in Papua New Guinea such as the Lihir Tailing Pipeline.
