Boots on the ground for the Kurri Kurri Lateral Pipeline

Spiecapag is proud to partner with APA Group for the construction of the Kurri Kurri Lateral Pipeline. The project consists of two main (buried) pipelines, a 14-inch medium pressure transmission pipeline 20-kilometre long – linking the Hunter Power Project to the existing Sydney to Newcastle pipeline, and a 42-inch Gas Bottle Storage pipeline 24-kilometre long. The pipeline will include electric compressors to minimise its operational emissions.

Early works, including access track construction works commenced in October 2023, with the project set to employ around 350 people. The project has already seen success in providing supplier and employment opportunities to local residents and businesses.
