Spiecapag receives APGA’s 2024 Environment Award!

Our Western Australia HDD team received further recognition today at the Australian Pipelines and Gas Association (APGA) Convention 2024 Awards ceremony!

Winner of the coveted Environment Award, the team achieved significant fresh water and emissions savings thanks to four construction initiatives as part of the installation of 3 HDD shore approaches on Barrow Island (WA):

• Change in composition of drilling fluid,
• Replacement of freshwater by seawater,
• Use of Gluon for topsoil management, and
• Recycling of water used in hydrotesting.

These initiatives not only helped the project run smoothly with minimal disturbance to a sensitive environment, but they also demonstrate our strong commitment to sustainability by delivering innovative environmental solutions for the benefit of the wider HDD industry.
